August 18, 2004 Today’s Word of Strength. God is our refuge and strength help in time of trouble. (Psalm 46:1) Every opportunity we get to rise up in the morning and see the sun rise is a blessing from God. No day is ever the same and that is why God’s mercies are new every morning. So, when it seems like your strength is leaving or your faith is failing consider what the apostle Paul went through in 2 Corinthians chapter 4: We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; 9We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed; 10Always carrying about in the body the liability and exposure to the same putting to death that the Lord Jesus suffered, so that the [[1] resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in our bodies. 11For we who live are constantly [experiencing] being handed over to death for Jesus' sake, that the [[2] resurrection] life of Jesus also may be evidenced through our flesh which is liable to death. (Amplified) Although, some days it does not seem like God is looking out for us, be sure and know that he is. Amen. God loves you. Stay in Christ. Michael W. Roy Wise Master Builder |
