Our values are what we do to reach our vision and goals. Prayer – We believe that Jesus demonstrated in the gospels the way to intimacy with the father is through prayer. In Luke’s gospel Jesus said that men ought to always pray and not lose heart. (Luke 18:1) In 1 Timothy 2:1 Paul said, before anything else let prayers be made for all men. Teaching – We believe according to the bible that the Word of God is alive and as believers are rightly instructed in the truth of the Word it will transform them into the character of Christ. (1Timothy 4:13; 16) (Colossians 3:16) (1 Peter 2:23) Praise – We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy of honor praise and glory. The Psalmist in chapter 100 encourages us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord and serve Him with gladness and to come before his presence with singing. In Psalm chapter 33 the Psalmist tells us that praise is looks good on the righteous and that we should praise the Lord for His goodness. Hebrews 13:15 says, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Worship – We believe in worshiping God through our giving of our finances, time and talents. Malachi 3:10) (2 Kings 17:36) Chronicles 16:29 says, ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; bring an offering, and come before Him; Worship the Lord in holy array. In Luke 4:8 Jesus said, you should worship the Lord your God and only Him should you serve. Psalms 95:6 says, come, and let us worship the Lord and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. Evangelism /Outreach - We believe and accept Jesus’ Great Commission to go into all the world and teach the gospel. (Matt. 28:18-20) First Timothy 2:3-4 says it is the desire of God our Savior that all men be saved and come into the knowledge of the truth. As believers in Jesus Christ we are to be the physical body of Christ that reaches a hurting and dying world. In Matthew 25:35-36 Jesus said, when I was hungry you fed me; when I was thirst you gave me something to drink; when I was a stranger you took me in; when I was naked you clothed me; when I was sick you visited me; when I was in prison you came to me. |
